PROVENANCE: Private (Estate) collections of Anna Adeline (Anne Adeline) Haddrall (1929-2018), by inheritance. Anne Adele Haddrall was born in Perth County, Canada. Moved to Toronto as a teenager and raised her family in Stratford There she established the Haddrall School of Highland Dancing sharing her love of dance with students all over Stratford. In the late 1980s, she traveled worldwide to learn and share her experience. Mrs. Anne toured Europe and collected English secretaries, French demi-lunes and crystal girandoles along with highly collectible Chinese articles. Her collection grew and filled her home with many highly collectable . Items sold at auction will towards her designated charities.

The Chinese nephrite jade carved unto shape of seated GuanYin figure seated upon a striding dragon over layers of lotus leaves. Wearing headrest and volatized robes flow to her lap over the round chakra nimbus around her head. The Guanyin seated in royal ease position while right hand hold a boy resting on her lap, additional boy attendant bowed upon her on dragon tail. The carving is smooth, with intrigue details, Nephrite jade shows moist milky appearance, grayish-celadon iridescent, and shows lightly hues of sporadic golden russet inclusions.
