The twenty-sixth president of the United States was also a world-renowned hunter, conservationist, soldier, and scholar. In 1908 he took a long safari holiday in East Africa with his son Kermit. Unger gives an account of Roosevelts trip and huntin in Africa with a short biography of his career, and a collection of adventures from other explorers by pioneers who preceded Roosevelt.
This 1909 first edition is bound in a color pictorial cloth lavishly illustrated with photographs taken in Africa with engravings and maps throughout!
