A pair of Chinese iron red plates
Guangxu period
With bat motifs to the body; six-character Guangxu mark to undersides. Sold with associated box. (2).
H: 1 1/4, Dia: 6 1/8 in. (H: 3.18, Dia: 15.56 cm.)
Provenance: Ms. Manion, California. Acquired in Hong Kong in the 1980's.

Condition
Several small abrasions and a firing crack to the surface of one plate, residue that fluoresces under blacklight. Very small chip on the base of the other plate.
