The ancient Panamanian Veraguas Gold-Copper Zoomorphic Pendant circa A. D. 1000-1500 representing a highly stylized frog is depicted with spiral sprays emanating from the bent knees and mouth having stylized serpent heads. Tests to approximately 14 karat.

Originally, the figurines and depictions created by the Amerindians of Central and South America served as trading objects, ornamentation and symbols of power and status.
