Description
An antique Masonic Knights Templar York Rite ceremonial sword. A blade engraved with decorations and the owner's initials. Marked with M. C. Lilley and Co., Columbus, Ohio. Circa the late 19th or early 20th century. The sword has a white bone handle with the cross and the owner's initials and a brass knight head pommel. A guard features the crowned Passion Cross. Comes with an original scabbard with chased Masonic decorations and a bottom with a hand holding the cross., a symbol of the blessing of Jesus. The Cross Pattee is a symbol commonly associated with both the historic and modern Knights Templar. The York Rite is one of several Rites of Freemasonry.
