Massive Lannan Ship Model of the Steam Auxiliary Schooner Yacht Atlantic

Built by Townsend and Downey of New York, the Atlantic won international acclaim by setting the world speed record for an Atlantic crossing by a monohull vessel. The present Lannan model is carefully fashioned of wood and metal beneath its canvas sails; minute details on board include buckets, cleats, and two binnacles.

Condition

A very few pinpoints of paint loss on the keel; the starboard anchor on deck is no longer secured by two points of glue, though it is affixed to a chain. Overall excellent condition.
