Rare Tall Continental Articulated Mannequin of a Saint
circa 1800, possibly Spanish or Italian, carved wood, gesso and polychrome with glass eyes, articulating elbows and knees, depicting a male saint figure with blue-painted undergarments. These figures would be clothed and displayed within the church during religious holidays and events.

Condition
Painted surfaces with staining and loss and associated areas of later paint; some chipping near figures back left heal; some hairlines including a crack to figure's right shoulder and left foot; missing stand that figure would have been mounted to for support.
