Subject: Defying a Shower of Bullets, He, Alone, Opened Hyonmu Gate (Dan'u o okashite tanshin Genbumon o hiraku).
Date: 1894.
Size: Each oban panel measures approximately 9.5” x 14.5".
Condition: Excellent color, impression, condition. Panels attached.
Provenance: This print comes from the Juanita Smith Collection. Ms. Smith consulted with and was advised in her collecting by Dr. Sherman Lee, the late Director of the Cleveland Museum of Art and a well-known expert in Asian art. Please see image of letter from Ms. Smith's son for details.
