Grouping of 8 female related vintage books including:"The Dahlia or Memorial of Affection for 1842." - also marked "Edited By A Lady" - published in NY 1841 - some foxing, wear to covers overall good condition; discarded library book titled "Colonial Dames And Good Wives" written by Alice Morse Earle, published in 1895; a book on Ball-Room dancing with leather covers published circa 1830 - missing title pages, otherwise good condition, with engravings of people dancing; "Piratical Barbarity OR A Female Captive (aboard English sloop Eliza-Ann where crew was massacred by pirates in 1825 and help captive a lady for 11 days) - reprinted with illustrations by Herb Roth) - circa 1900 - first few pages with tears otherwise very good condition; "Marrying Too Late. A Tale" by George Wood, first edition published in NY 1856 - wear to covers and several loose pages; "Eve's Daughters; OR, Common Sense for Maid, Wife and Mother", written by Marion Harland and published in NY 1884 - good condition; Demorests's Illustrated for 1871 with many full page and pullout Godey prints, some hand colored - plate size 8 3/4" x 11 1/4"; and "Tales Of Woman's Trials" by Mrs. S.C. Hall, published in London in 1858 - repair to spine, wear to covers, overall good condition. Lot also includes a small grouping of Peterson Magazines circa 1857, all with costume plates from this era, but magazines in poor condition.
