Description

An armillary metal sphere held by a figure of Atlas - the sphere is construction of iron having numerical bronze clad interior tin bands depicting hours of the day - the arrow tip, feather and Atlas figure are patinated zinc or aluminum. Some surface rust, some numbers missing on bands, but overall good condition, probably mid 20th century. Measures 39 1/2"H x 17 1/4" diameter of sphere x 17 3/4"W.
