Pathé "Le Menestrel" Phonograph, c. 1903
Pathé Frères for the Parisian firm of J. Girard & Cie., combination model for a slip-on-mandrel to play 3-inch Salon cylinders, with Louis-XV-style cast-iron base, dark-green with gilt highlights, painted and gilded metal lid, Pathé soundbox and aluminum horn (Ø 11 ½ in., 11 ¾ in. long), working well, case and mechanism in excellent restored condition, with 2 Edison and 2 Pathé Salon cylinders. - Literature: Marty, "Grammophone", 1981, pp. 152/153. - Belle, "Spreekmachines", 1989, pp. 72/73. - A rare phonograph of elegant design.

Hergestellt von Pathé Frères für J. Girard & Cie., Paris, Sonderausführung des "Gaulois". Mit Adapter zum Abspielen von Salon-Walzen geeignet. Dunkelgrün-goldener Gußsockel im Louis-quinze-Stil, Metallhaube im gleichen Stil. Mit "Pathé"-Tonkopf aus Ebonit. Aluminiumtrichter (Ø 29,5 cm, 30 cm lang). Funktioniert gut, Gerät und Haube in exzellent restauriertem Zustand, mit 2 Edison- und 2 Pathé-Salon-Walzen. - Literatur: Marty, "Grammophone", 1981, S. 152/153. - Belle, "Spreekmachines", 1989, S. 72/73. - Einer der dekorativsten Phonographen überhaupt - ein wunderschönes Exponat und Sammlungsstück!
