Description
Pair of Continental Gilt Bronze High Relief Plaques, early 20th c., depicting a procession of frolicking putti, together with two modern brass stands, Plaques- H.- 10 in., W.- 11 1/4 in., D.- 1 5/8 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Both plaques show evidence of oxidation throughout with one being heavily oxidized. The more oxidized piece shows areas where the brass finish has worn down to the bronze (this is seen most prominently on the furthest protruding knee). Could benefit from a cleaning. A lovely pair.
