Item Details

Description

DESCRIPTION: United States Foot Artillery Model 1832 short sword believed to have been made by Horstmann of Philadelphia; Comprising of a brass crossguard, handle and pommel with scale texture at the grip, stippling at the crossguard, an eagle depiction impressed at the pommel as well as foliage designs at the finial. The double edged blade features a ricasso design, double fullers at the base of the blade and a longer fuller at the mid section.

DIMENSIONS: W: 4" L: 25.75", & Blade L: 19.12"
