Alexander Calder (American 1898-1976) "Homage to Euclid, 1969" ("Les Pyramids de Nile") Signed Lithograph in Colors. Signed "Calder" lower right. Numbered - #84/100 bottom left. Measures approx. - 20 1/2" high x 28 3/8" wide. Total with frame - 32 3/4" high x 40 3/4" wide. One of America's best known sculptors, "Sandy" Calder became most famous for his kinetic abstract mobiles. He also did floor pieces, was a painter in watercolor, oil and gouache, did etchings and serigraphs, and made jewelry and tapestries as well designed theater stage settings and architectural interiors.
