Description
Martin Schauss, 1867 to 1927, bronze Victoria figure, circa the early 20th century. Signed to the base. Ferdinand Theodor Martin Schauss was a German sculptor and medallist. He was a supporter of polychrome sculpture, an idea promoted by Georg Treu, and made several attempts to use colored materials, especially tinted wax. Antique Bronze Sculptures For Collectors.
