Description
CLOCK: Banjo wall clock, New England, c. 1825, box glass painted with "S. Willard's Patent." mahogany case with eagle finial, one piece cherry backboard, brass bezel, gilt rope frames and brass, diamond side arms, above a gilded bracket, movement mounted with two diagonal bolts through the backboard rests directly on the throat sides. The glasses painted in gold and pink with white background, old or original "duck bill" lead weight, barbed arrow hands and old or original pendulum, condition as follows, replaced dial, replaced throat and box glass, gilt repainted with some flaking, box bottom and bracket loose, all glue blocks original, backboard in throat and box door frame marked "III," approx. 41" h. x 10" w. x 3 1/2" d.
