Chinese Qing Dynasty Green Glaze Porcelain Plate. The plates has a broad wide central interior, rounded mouth lip, thick and large, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. Warm and uniform apple green glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Green is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. Green stands for health, prosperity, and harmony. In Chinese culture, green stands for cleanliness and purity from contamination. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
