Francois Linke (1855-1946) Louis XV-style gilt bronze mounted bureau plat, the desk with three drawers, opposing false drawers between two side slides, with mascaron-accented espagnolettes and corners, with four re-gilded sabot feet. The lock plate stamped "CT LINKE / SERRURERIE / PARIS" and numbered "133”. [29 1/2" H x 65" W x 35 1/2" D]. Writing pad and key lacking; losses to veneers; paint residue; oxidation to hardware; typical scuffs and wear. Four desktop bronze moldings are missing.
