in the Louis XVI style, the dial signed J. Blanchard
the 7'' circular later decorated dial, set within a scrolling acanthus and cornucopia frame, with floral vase cresting below a green jasper porcelain plaque, the lower section with later thermometer dial, the dial indistinctly signed 'J. Blanchard....Pary...176...', the case with losses and as found, 102cm high

Section of one central flower head missing.
No glass to the barometer base.
Surface dirt to the whole.
There are the usual marks, scratches, small losses and tiny repairs as to be expected with age and use.
Some rubbing to the giltwood revealing the bole and gesso below, also some chips to the giltwood.
The thermometer replaced.
