Rare Persian model 98/29 Mauser in 8mm Mauser, bore and rifling are in excellent condition given the rifles age, has Persian royal crest with lion on top of reciever, stock shows a few signs of its age and wear from handling and shooting but is in overall very good to excellent condition, bolt action cylces smoothly, Arabic and Farsi writing on reciever, bolt, and stock, produced between 1931 and 1938, 180,000 of these rifles were ordered by Persia (Iran) from Czechoslovakia but the order was never fully completed due to the German annexation of Czechoslovakia in 1938, C&R eligible, has original sling, rifle retains 85% of original finish, overall this rifle is in excellent condition, B 2 L 554, S# Y3797
