March 11, 1932-Dated, Pair of Original "Wanted Posters" for the Capture of the Kidnappers of Charles A. Lindbergh, Jr., plus a Reward Poster Featuring Kidnapper's Handwriting Sample, both items Choice Extremely Fine.
Two Authentic Original Printed Posters relating to kidnapping of Charles Lindbergh's infant son:
1. Wanted Poster for "Information As To The Whereabouts of Charles A. Lindbergh, Jr.", measures about 16" x 9.5" with a trivial sealed edge tear.
2. Reward Poster for $25,000, features Handwriting Samples of the Kidnapper and measures about 8.5" x 11".
The "Lindbergh Baby" kidnapping was one of the most sensational and widely publicized crimes of the 20th Century. Both Posters request that respondents to contact: "COL. H. NORMAN SCHWARTZKOPF, STATE POLICE, TRENTON, NEW JERSEY." (Father of the famous American General Norman Schwartzkoff, of "Operation Desert Storm" fame.)
