Description
A pair of Renaissance style figural bronze table lamps after the original statues by Michelangelo Buonarroti, Italian, 1475 to 1564. The first lamp is adorned with a statue of Lorenzo II Medici, after the original marble statue depicting Lorenzo II Medici, Duke of Urbino, as an ancient commander, created by Michelangelo during 1526 to 1534. the second lamp is adorned with a statue of Moses, after the original marble sculpture of an Old Testament prophet, 235 cm high, created in the period 1513 to 1516. Michelangelo Buonarroti was an Italian sculptor, painter, architect, poet and thinker. One of the greatest masters of the Renaissance and early Baroque. Mounted on a rectangular shaped stands.
