A GEORGE III FRAMED SILKWORK DEPICTING FIGURES IN FRONT OF STRAWBERRY HILL HOUSE LATE 18TH CENTURY the glass 50 x 69cm, with the gilt and black eglomise glazed gilt frame, 59 x 79cm overallProvenance: Property removed from 8 Pulteney Street, Bath. Although the direct source for this view depicting the South front of Walpole's Strawberry Hill has yet to be determined- in form it is perhaps closest to Sandby's watercolour of the view. His picture, now in The Ashmolean, shows the same composition but with family group of 4, not 3 figures as here.
