A FINE GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND INLAID SERPENTINE FRONTED COMMODE IN THE MANNER OF WILLIAM VILE, CIRCA 176584.5cm high, 115cm wide, 53cm deepProvenance:Barnwell Manor, NorthamptonshireA serpentine commode by William Vile incorporating a similarly gadrooned edge to the top is currently in the Sitting Room at Harewood House, Yorkshire (this piece was formerly at St. James's Palace).
