My Fair Lady, vintage porcelain cabinet plate decorated by Josef Kuba, Bavaria, West Germany. This particular porcelain mark was in use c.1952-1972.
The large plate is 10.1/4" [26cm] across; the middle picture is a transfer design, gold and black decorated rim; no chips, no cracks, near fine condition.
Josef Kuba established his porcelain decoration business in Czechoslovakia in the city of Karlsbad, Bohemia in 1930. After the WWII, Kuba moved to West Germany and settled in Bavarian Wiesau. He reopened his porcelain decoration business in 1952 and continued to work until his death in 1972. His son, Horst, continued the business until its final closing in 1989.
