Chinese Ming Dynasty XuanDe Alum Red Lotus Porcelain Lidded Jar. Potted with a vessel shape, ovoid belly, heavy on mid, short neck, round close mouth lip with reverse bowl dome lid finial bud, and raised on flat wide round foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against alum red color, depicted of lotus flowers bloom interspersed foliage and scrolling tendril. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine blue rings lines. Made in The Years Xuande Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
