Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Douqing glazed amphora zun vase. Potted in a Zun shaped vase, thick and large, globular body, slighty oval body, rounded shoulder concealing gracefully to a prominent straight cylindrical neck, with wide flaring open lip, two ring handles emerging and flanked on the shoulder, raised with short splayed foot base rim and slightly concave. The exterior hand painted ornamentations are rendered in douqing design color under glazed base color which contrast against pale-turquoise- pale green celadon under glazed ground, the green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human pale white skin. Meticulous finish sgrafitto taotie mask, repeating thick point and interlocking key fret. Monochrome glazed covers the delicate clay, showing silky smooth sheen and conforming the design. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
