Pair of Large German Style Porcelain Figures, 20th c., of a man and a lady in 18th c., dress, on integral circular bases, marked M-660 on the underside, H.- 22 1/2 in., Dia.- 7 1/2 in. Provenance: Palmira, the Estate of Sarkis Kaltakdjian (Sarkis Oriental Rugs), Prairieville, Louisiana.
Condition
Gentleman: Minor wear to gilt. Delicate flower petals intact. One hairline to glaze on base, proper right side, 2 in. long. Minor loss to blue glaze on proper left knee, approx. 1/8 in. Lady: Flower petals intact. Surface dirt. ½ in. crack in the ruffle of sleeve on proper right arm, though nothing is detaching due to this crack. Loss to green finish on skirt, 1/8 in., on proper right side. Minor wear to gilt. Handsome pair.
