Group of two French fauteuils in the Neoclassical Louis XVI style taste, early 20th century, comprising an upholstered giltwood fauteuil a la reine en chapeau with laurel decoration, and rising on fluted legs and a gold painted caned square back fauteuil with a ribbon crest, ribbon and rod decoration, and rising on fluted legs, apparently unmarked. Approx. upholstered chair h. 42", w. 27", d. 23"; seat h. 18.5"; caned chair h. 38", w. 25.5", d. 21"; seat h. 14.75".

Upholstered chair with wear to fabric and stable joint separation to arms, no breaks to caning, some wear to finishes, frames are structurally sound.
