Pedro Duran (Spanish, founded 1886), chess set, last quarter 20th century, having a footed mixed wood parquetry case and playing board, the lid with a sterling silver armorial shield and knight's helmets, with thirty-two weighted sterling silver playing pieces modeled as a Medieval court, one set vermeil, in original presentation box, all appropriately marked. Approx. h. 3.25" (tallest piece), h. 2" (smallest piece), h. 4.25", sq. 19" (case).
Condition
Plaque is unengraved, not all of the protective felt is present, some hazing to finish, wear to presentation box.
