Harlequin Suite of Six Louis XVI-Style Giltwood Side Chairs

first half 20th century, four in one style combined with a similar pair, each with a padded back and carved frame, raised on turned and fluted tapering circular legs.

In overall good condition. All chairs retain a good gilt surface with scattered rubbing, losses and wear, most notably to the legs. All legs and backs are tight and free of movement. Four chairs exhibit a small amount of movement where the stiles meet the side seat rails, but should be functional for some time. The seat and back cushions retain good firmness and shape. The show covers show moderate wear, and a number of light stains, most notably to the seats.
