Description
Elvis Presley's Personally Owned 1881 Morgan Silver Dollar Money Clip Acquired From Patsy Presley W/LOA From Graceland Authenticated and Copy of 3-Page Letter From Patsy Presley - This Swank money clip was personally owned by Elvis Presley and features a genuine 1881 Morgan Silver Dollar in a silver tone frame. The money clip was acquired by a collector in 1988 from Elvis' cousin Patsy Presley, who worked at Graceland for many years and with whom he was very close. The lot includes a letter from the collector which states in part, "This item was originally from a jewelry box from Elvis' bedroom dresser. I purchased the jewelry box and all of its contents from Patsy in 1988. While it didn't contain any of Elvis' ornate jewelry with diamonds and gold, etc., it did contain many rings, watches, money clips, cufflinks, bracelets, pins and other items of that sort that were often gifted to Elvis by family, friends and even fans." The letter shows an image of the money order used for the purchase. The lot will also include a color copy of a sweet handwritten 3-page letter from Patsy Presley dated October 25, 1988, which talks about the jewelry box and about how much Elvis cared very much about every gift he was given and how much the box meant to him. Also included with the piece is a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated. Measurements: 1.5" diameter. (WEIGHT: 38 grams)
