Description
Rare Circa 1735-40 Transitional Period Dressing Table, probably Deerfield/Hadley, MA area; in sycamore with applewood legs and yellow pine secondary wood; having a single board overhanging top with fully molded edge and three case drawers with molded edges. The triple arcaded skirt, with a high center cut-out, is fully banded on its lower edge. The finial drops are made as part of the framing of the case. The case sets on robust cabriole legs ending in thick pad feet. 27 1/2" high, 38 1/2" x 23 1/4". Condition commensurate with age and use. An identical dressing table is in the collection of Historic Deerfield.
