Description
Exceptional circa 1790-1800 Two-Part Cherry Secretary, top section with highly scrolled and carved crown moldings, flame finials, carved fan, and beautifully molded paneled doors; the lower section with a fan-carved interior, serpentine front with "breasted" top drawer, all above bold ogee feet; in remarkable original condition, retaining what appears to be its original surface; with pine secondary wood, 96" high, 40" x 19 3/4", 33" writing height. Restoration to brasses; shrinkage crack to one door panel, surface wear commensurate with age.
