After 1413 A.D. A gold pendant formed from a pseudo ducat coin copying an issue of the doge Michael Steno (1400-1413 A.D.); with suspension loop attached. See Paolucci, p.38, for the coin issue. 2.93 grams, 27 mm (1 1/8 in.). Acquired 1970-2010. Collection of a late Japanese gentleman. The most widely used gold coin in the Levant.
