DESCRIPTION: A pair of early 19th cent. torchieres feature carved Phoenix birds standing atop of spherical bases comprised of wood and gesso. Each candle stick displays a intricately layered feathers accented with mirrored inserts, completed along the top with iron candle sockets. CIRCA: Early 19th Cent. ORIGIN: Italy DIMENSIONS: H: 51" x W: 16.5" CONDITION: has minor scrapes and chips due to age. See lot description for details on item condition.
