A mixed group of bronze (mainly Roman) brooches from the personal collection of Richard Hattatt, each mounted on a display block with descriptive text; the following types are present in the collection in chronological order: La Tène I type from Spain; British penannular type from Oxford; British trumpet type with silver inlay from Peterborough; Roman rosette type from Colchester; Roman Hod Hill type from Norwich; Roman kraftig profilierte type from Wroxeter; Roman Colchester type from Lakenheath; Roman dolphin type (findspot unknown); Roman T-shaped type from Lechlade; Roman bird-in-flight type from Oxford; Roman head stud type from Doncaster; Roman enamelled disc type with central stud from Thetford; Roman enamelled disc brooch from Wiltshire; Roman crossbow type with gilding (no findspot); Roman plate type with glass boss (findspot unknown); Roman knee brooch from Belton; all featured in Hattatt's catalogues.
