Late 9th-early 11th century AD. Gilt bronze, size 5 3/4 for the small finger as was the custom. Band 3.3mm width, with flat face with a central depressed band resulting in a double band effect. Cast with a central core to distribute the metal and heat. The core is then laboriously removed by hand and the remnants are visible. Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored.
