Description
Including red glazed jaspe designed pocket vessel was for carrying soup. The lid is missing. The bowl in rare design called 'Arabesque' was used for advertising a dairy store 'Cremerie' with the address and the name of the proprietor, M. David Huppi. A savoie butter-yellow base glaze complements the melange of colors in jaspe. Late 19th C, Albertsville, Savoie. Dimensions: (Larger) H 3" x Dia. 6" Condition: Small soup vessel cracked. Few chips, scratches. Surface wear consistent with age and use.
