Luci Chialli, a Neo-Pompeian bronze Grand Tour oil lamp or smoking companion, Italy circa 1850s, modelled as a sprouting tree stump, supported on a tripod base of three rams head and bent hoof legs united by acanthus leaves, surmounted by a stork eating a snake, from which hangs a double oil lamp urn with coiled and entwined serpents, tweezers and pipe cleaning tool, signed twice L.Chialli, 35cm high
