A Chinese famille rose vase, Shende Tang Zhi mark in iron red, ???? (Hall of Prudent Virtue), Daoguang period (1821-1850), shouldered form with archaistic twin handles, relief moulded pendant and tassels to each, painted in the round with boys at play and in procession, between turquoise ground ruyi lappet bands, key borders, the neck with yellow ground foliate scroll and lotus flower enamelling, four character red mark on turquoise, 25.5cm high
