In 1875, Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet established their watchmaking workshop in Le Brassus, Switzerland. Creating complicated movements by hand, they soon hired more craftsmen to produce watches in the highest quality. Complex movements with refined chronographs and astronomical complications are hallmarks of the AP brand, even to this day. The company is responsible for creating the first minute repeater wristwatch in 1892 and first skeletonized watch in 1934. In the 1970's the company hired Gerald Genta to design the legendary Royal Oak collection that is one of today's most sought after styles in watches.

Measurements: The watch measures approximately 5 7/8 to 6 1/8 inches long.Overall Condition: Superficial scratches are consistent with wear. The watch winds, sets and runs at the time of cataloguing but has not been timed for accuracy.  Please note that Hindman does not warranty the watch at the time of the auction or after its purchase.
