Description
Galina Solovieva, Russian, 1908 to 1984, ink on paper laid on cardboard drawing The Three Heads, 1935. Signed, dated and titled on verso. Galina Sergeyevna Solovieva, a painter, graphic artist, and theater artist, studied at the Experimental Secondary School named after Decembrists, at the Moscow Institute of advanced training of workers of arts. From the late 1940s she was engaged in book illustrating. Had several personal exhibitions. The lot comes from the collection of Viktor Kholodkov, a renowned art dealer and collector who devoted his life to collecting prominent works of Russian artists of the 20th century.
