Impressive Gilt-Bronze and Cut Glass Caviar Server

20th century, probably French, the spherical cut glass cover and base decorated with bull's eyes and palmettes, mounted on a Renaissance-style bronze base decorated with cabochons and lotus leaves, the cover with a cone-form finial, opening to reveal the caviar inner bowl, framed with gilt scrollwork.

There is adhesive residue at the bottom of the crystal bowl where it attaches to the base. It is likely that the bowl has been reattached but it feels quite stable. No other notable imperfections.
