DESCRIPTION: Five Sumida Gawa ceramic vessels: one flat vase decorated with figures eating and figures at a cauldron, one shouldered vase decorated with elderly figures, one miniature vase decorated with a boy carrying a dog mask, one bowl decorated with three boy figures, one mug decorated with two masked figures, a cylindrical teacup decorated with a cloaked figure, and a miniature bowl decorated with an old man figure. Each piece figures are fashioned in high relief and each piece is finished with a polychrome glaze. Shouldered vase and bowl each come with a carved wooden stand. Flat vase is unsigned; all other pieces are signed. Dimensions are as follows:
