Good lot of 135 World War I stereoview cards by the well-known publisher Keystone, housed in two original ‘Stereographic Library’ boxes, with an additional loose 113 stereoviews. The cards depict typical scenes of battle, the advance to the front, destroyed trenches, towns and villages, the wounded and dead, military leaders, the home front, etc. Also present are two handheld stereoviewers; WITH the book: ‘The World Through the Telebinocular’ ed. Major Joseph Mills Hanson (Meadville: Keystone View Company), 1928. 442pp. 8vo., leatherbound, containing a full list of images in the set, as well as numerous essays on various subjects related to the war, fold-out maps, and testimonials from various American military figures praising the stereoview library. The boxes show some wear, but the cards are in near fine condition.
