Description

A limited edition World War II print, 30 x 20 in., titled: â€˜In the Steps of the Giantâ€™. The print depicts German ace, HORST PETZSCHLER (1921-2011), flying a Fw-190 during escort duty, a task he regularly volunteered for. At the bottom of the print is the signature of Petzschler and the artist, DARBY PERRIN. Interestingly, the artist is also a pilot who once flew with the very consignor of this piece. In between the signatures the print has been marked â€˜161/500â€™. The print has been tipped to poster board which bears a description and a few tidbits about Petzschler. Included with this lot is a certificate of authenticity from Perrin. Fine condition.
