17th-18th century. Gilt bronze, over 1 1/4" total height including the suspension loop. Raised border delineating a cross with broad beams, the cross beam above center, and enclosing a stick cross with Cyrillic inscriptions at the terminals. Reverse with a similar cross with Cyrillic inscriptions, in very faint relief, probably from rubbing in prayer. The front well preserved and well delineated. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and on a modern gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. See the reference image which shows the process.
