Description
An antique 19th Century wildlife bird lithograph in color. Titled, "Black Skimmer or Shearwater," a figural work with diving water fowl bird. Produced 1860 by New York City lithographer Julius Bien (1826-1909) for "Audubon's Birds of America," after the original work by John James Audubon (1785-1851). Presented with fitted mat border in a traditional wood frame.
Work Size: 21 x 25 in.
Dimensions: 29.5 X 41.5 X .75 in.
Condition: Good overall condition, work having age related paper toning and mild surface wear. Frame having moderate surface wear to edges and corners, Estate fresh to the market.
