RARE TOGGLE-HEAD HARPOON FROM THE “CHARLES W. MORGAN”
New Bedford, Massachusetts, Second Half of the 19th Century
Head marked “CWM”. Stamped on the same side "A.J. Peters" for blacksmith Ambrose J. Peters. Marked on the other side “WB” for waist boat. Octagonal brass plaque of the Charles W. Morgan attached. Retains original pole and manila rope.
Length 94.5”.
